Asaalamualaykum dearest Mufti.

I have heard that Dua made in Sujood is always answered, however I have a habit of always making Dua in sujood, its been like this for many many years, even after nafil salaat or especially at the time of Tahajjud, I make my Salaat, praise ALLAH and send Durood upon Nabi (S.A.W), then I immediately go into Sajda position and make Dua from the heart, also I once heard in a bayaan by one Alim that if ever you have the urge to make dua than go into sajda and make Dua, however, I have recently heard that Dua should not be made this way, sit as normal in Tashahud position and make Dua, please tell me is this true? and making Dua in sujood is not correct, how is the best way to make Dua and in what position?

You may make Sajda-e-Shukr (Sajdah of Gratification) at home. Make Du'aa as recommended by raising your hands with all the etiquette's and mannerisms that go with it.
