Asalaamualykum Mufti Saab
A friend of mine who is currently christian (but wants to become muslim very soon Inshallah) has experienced something very strange. The other night when he was praying (while sitting on the floor) he felt something leave his body. He said that he felt num and could not speak or move. He said that he found himself between the devil and God. He said that for the first time he could see what wrong he has done and wanted to turn to Allah. He told the shaytaan that he did what he wanted and that it got him no where so now he is turning to Allah for forgivness. When he did this the shaytaan hit him. When he was able to move he found himself staring at the light (in the room). When he wanted to go to sleep he felt that it wanted to come back to him and he found himself in a spiritual struggle to keep it out. When he goes to the bathroom he feels that it is there and wants to come onto him. This happend to him the next night again when he prayed (at the same time in the night). He feels alot lighter and happier now. He wants to become muslim for a wile now.
Whats the meaning of this? What should he do?
