Aslaamuaikum Mufti Saahib

I pray you are well.

Sorry to bother you.

If a Muslim is watching a comedy humourous film and in the film the first actor says, ‘in the name of baby Jesus’. And the second actor says, ‘Jesus wasn’t a baby, he was a grown man’.
So the first actor says, ‘I like saying baby Jesus, he was a baby Jesus’ etc.

The Muslim watching this comedy film find the above funny so laughs at this scene and laughs at the fact that one of the actor persists on calling Jesus as ‘baby Jesus’. Although the Muslim does not have any disrespect for Jesus(a.s) and does not agree with the Christian belief of Jesus and would not call Jesus(a.s) as ‘baby Jesus’.

Later the Muslim verbally tells another Muslim about the scene and also laughs and states: this scene was funny, I found it funny, this actor is so funny that he makes me laugh, you need to watch that movie’.

Does the Muslim become a kaafir by laughing at this scene,telling/talking about the scene to another person and verbally saying, ‘this scene was funny, I found it funny, this actor is so funny that he makes me laugh, you need to watch that movie’.

Jazakala

This is close to Kufr. You must make sincere ‘Taubah’.
Avoid seeking or promoting such rubbish. Be careful, you will lose your Imaan. This is so dangerous.
