As salaamualaikum.

I am a Commerce educator at a public school. The curriculum includes the concept of interest which must be taught to the learners.

Can you please give me an idea on how to tactfully bring in the Islamic perspective on this so as to allow the learners to see the beauty of Islam.

I do mention to them the burden of interest and that it encourages people to live beyond their means and that it is not permitted in Islam.

May Allah(SWT) reward you for all your effort.

Jazakallah

To broaden your vision on economics let us take various systems currently in the world -
1) USA - zero increase
2) Japan/china 0.002%
3) SA 14% - lets see the results and ramifications - at the End explain that Islaamic economics is based on no percentage increase.
