Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaah
I pray you are well.
Mufti Saab I’ve heard from many Muslim that the Prophet SAW has said that if anyone has any illness which has no cure, they should gather rain water and recite into it Al Fatihah x70, Ayatul Kursi x70, Al Ikhlas x70, Al Falaq x70 and An Nas x70, and then drink it for 7 days, InshaAllaah they will be cured from their illness. My first question is that is this hadith true? Secondly, if this practice is saheeh, then can you use normal tap water if your unable to collect rain water? Also if your unable to recite all of the above amal in one day could it be done over a few days? How often would you have to blow over the water, after each recitation of the surah, ayah, or after you’ve completed the full 70? And finally some Muslims says you must recite Durood-e-Ibraheem before and after the amal x70, some say you don’t have to, which is correct?
Apologies for asking so many questions, but I would be very grateful if you could answer them all.
JazzakAllaah Khairun.
Wassalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaah

This is a practice of some elders. Any water can be used. Blowing with little spittle going into water. Can be done over period. Better to read Durood-e-Ebrahim.
