As-salamu’alaykum,

some days ago I dreamt of the four great Imams of Sunni Islam. Initially the dream was about my father who seemed to be lying on his deathbed, then suddenly there was a change in his appearance and a thought appeared to me that it was not my father but Imam Malik who was lying in front of me. Then three luminous robed figures came into the room and it occured to me while dreaming that these were the rest of the aimma arba’a. I can only recall the face of Imam Shafi’i: he was very light skinned, his face was very luminous and he had a fistful of grey beard. While the other two figures, whom I presumed were Imam Abu Hanifa and Iman Ahmad Hanbal, sat down on the floor besides the bed, Imam Shafi’i was seated between them on a chair. This about all I can recall. What could be the interpretation or significance of such a dream?
