Assalamualaikum Mufti My father in law has inherited via India property from his Grandfather. He has been separated from my mother in law for the past year. I know a few facts that this was not calculated correctly. Should we try and correct the situation although there will be a lot of animosity among brothers< sisters, cousins etc. They have not mentioned or given to some heirs. They have spoken to Ulama about distributing correctly to their heirs but they have not done right to all. Should we try to correct anonamously?

Is it incorrect now for us to say we want nothing to do with this money when he dies? Thereby allowing us to give it via example orphange or other needy courses.
Jazakallah
