SAB (South African Breweries) have always been the major shareholders in ABI (Amalgamated Beverage Industries), the manufacturers of Coke products.
SAB are now buying-off the minority shares as well, thus ABI will be totally owned by SAB.
Kindly advise whether merely on the basis of this full acquisition by SAB, Coke products would now be rendered impermissible for Muslim consumption and trade?
