If a son or a daughter makes good actions does it automatically credit to the parent’s accounts or do the children need to make niyyat for Isaal-e-thawab? I ask as it appears that a an individual came into this world through the parents so it might follow that all good deeds would also credit the parents and the Niyyat would be needless perhaps.

Some Ulema state that all good or bad is acredited to the parents before the child becomes "Baligh", Islaamically mature, after that to reward the parents Niyyat for /of Isaale Thawaab is necessary.
