SALAAM I HAVE A FEW QUERIES. I WAS BORN AND BROUGHT UP IN SOUTH AFRICA AND LEARNED THE HANAFI SCHOOL OF TAUGHT HOWEVER SIX YEARS AGO I MOVED TO SAUDI ARABIA. MY QUERIES ARE
1) SHOULD I CHANGE MY SCHOOL OF TAUGHT TO FOLLOW THE LOCAL SCHOOL OF TAUGHT
2) MY KIDS AT SCHOOL LEARN IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN THE HAMBALI SCHOL OF TAUGHT AS THEY WERE BROUGHT UP HERE AND THATS ONLY WAY THEY KNOW AND I DON NOT WANT TO CONFUSE THEM AND CHANGED THE SCHOOL OF TAUGHT
3) IF I DO NOT CHANGE HOW DO I ANSWER A 8 YEAR OLD CHILD WHO RAISES QUESTIONS ABOUT MINOR DIFFERANCES THAT I PRACTISE COMPARED TO WHAT HE LEARNS AND KNOWS?
4) IF I DO CHANGE SCHOOL OF TAUGHT DO I REVERT TO HANAFI IF I EVER RETURN TO SOUTH AFRICA
5) SHOULD THE SHEIKS NOT ENCOURAGE PEOPLE OF DIFFERANT SCHOOLS OF TAUGHT IN SA AS MY SON GETS STRANGE LOOKS IF FOR EG HE SAYS AMEEN LOUDLY WHEN WE VISIT SA

When you intend coming back to S.A then it is better to stay Hanafi. Explain to your child slowly about the existence of different Mazhabs.
