As Salaamualaikum

Respected Mufti

One of my daughters, only son and I contributed cash amounts towards the building of our family house. Each of us made various amounts of cash contributions but we have no records of how much each person’s exact cash contribution over the years has been. The house is registered in my name. In terms of Islamic Law what share do each of us presently have in this house as a result of the cash contributions we have made?

Also, my wife and two other daughters are still alive. They have not made any cash contributions towards the building of the house. Upon my death how will my estate be distributed?

Please advise.

Was Salaam

Mohammed

Have a meeting Amicallably agree on the % age of share holders which is registered on your name . Have this well documented and signed. On your death pro-rata the estate will be distributed.
