Salaams Mufti Please advise on the following : 1. If ghusal is made for any reason, and wudhu is part of this ghusal, to read namaz/quraan therafter, does the wudhu have to be made again as one was naked whilst performing ghusal?Is this accepted or should a seperate wudhu be made after whilst being clothed? 2. Is wudhu that is made whilst naked valid?eg, after bathing, make a normal wudhu at the taps howver one is still naked? 3. Can namaaz be read by wearing a long dress covering the ankles for a women but without wearing any pants?

slm mufti, i read a hadith where a jew ibn salim approached the messenger (saw) and asked a few questions. one of them was1) how does a child resemble a parent? the prophet (saw) replied if the man climaxes first during intercourse the child will resemble him and if the woman climaxes firdt, the child will resemble her? Is this true?2) or is it true that a male will be conceived if the man climaxes first and a girl will be conceived if the woman climaxs first? please explain as i am confused. jazakallah khair
Answer
Nabi (S.A.W) stated if the man’s water precedes then it will be a male and vise versa. However this need not only refer to climax it can refer to what happens during internal fertilization.

As salam u alaikum. When ever i sleep i gets bitten by snakes, dogs, tiger. Every day a girl with different faces comes in my dreams and make me napak. I read duas n all before sleeping but this all things happens to me. I have become very weak. My mind also doesnt work, i feel like my mind is blocked and if i try to think even with this problems, i feel a big burden in my head. My body also feels very heavy and i suffers pains in different parts of body. What is the problem with me. I m suffering this from many years. Pls help me. Allah hafiz.

Assalamualaikum I am requesting a fatwa regarding the use of pirated software. Many people believe that copyright doesnt exist on intellectual property, on lectures, recitation of quran, kitaabs etc. On e.g. things to do with deen, kitaabs this is understandable that the content cannot be copyrighted. However, many people now have extrapolated that fatwa to mean that in shariah there is no problem with using pirated software (usually downloaded from the internet for free whereas the software is sold in shops) under the pretext that it is 'intellectual property'. Software is not just information, it is an engineered tool, like a machine etc. So the 'intellectual property' doesn't apply I think. Some use the proof that pirating" is in reality simply recieving files from other people who have bought the software and shared it etc. Sad to say, I have heard that even many ulema are using pirated software and their students are under the impression that it is perfectly halal. In many countries over 50% of all software is copyright. How can something like this be halaal, nevermind the intellectual property/copyright debate, when it is against the law of the country firstly. Please can some light be shed on this issue by yourself mufti saheb, because many people are ignorant regarding this issue. JazakAllah

This is a highly debatable matter. Due to both views existing, the flexibility of using and ignoring copyright arises. Thus to convince one over the other is going to be virtually impossible.

If its possible could you inform me why it is that gold and titanium is not allowed for men, especially titanium. I do not intend on buying an item made from it, I would just like to know why? Assalamu Alaykum, Before Maghrib Salah, my wife said to me, you can park in one corner and go to the masjid to read Salah. I will wait in the car. I had no intention of performing Salah, because I was totally unsure whether my hands were paak or not, and I knew that by the time I finished wudhu, Salah would be over. Also, I thought, what's the point of praying because, once I get back in the car and I touch the steering wheel, my hands will probably become impure again because the steering wheel had become impure because of having touched it with impure hands. Hence I sat on the stairs, whilst jamat took place downstairs. After jamat finished, I saw a friend of mine come up the stairs to perform his Sunnah. I panicked and said Allahu Akbar and began to pretend performing Salah. Initially I began reciting but knowing I did not have wudhu, I subsequently just went through the motions of Salah, moving my lips. My intention was not to mock Salah. In fact, I was caught between the fear of kufr and thinking I should not continue faking the performance of Salah. However I continued and went through the motions of Salah right to the end. Would this be kufr?

This is very close to Kufr. You should have explained the true position of the steering wheel to your wife.

As salaamu Alaikum My mom is going on Umrah soon..she has to make wuzu all the time due to her passing wind. She is worried that even before she can reach the haaram shareef she will break her wuzu and therefore she says that she will make tawaaf of the wuzu kanaah and getting in to the haraam shareef. :) Is it permissable for her to make wuzu all the time as she can not keep it due to the passing of wind or is once okay and Allah (SWA) will make her maaf for her sickness. One Wudhu for one DUuration of Salaat. All Ibadaat can be made with it.
