i follow hanafi madhab.sometime wen i go to jamaat many people ask me some detail about rafa-ul-yadein.can u pls tell me its history and a precise explanation?
This is permissible for the Shaafis whilst the Hanafis do not do it. In Jamaat avoid such discussions. Each one has their proofs.

If he by Hambali Fiqh is allowed to lead a 4 Rakaat Salaat then your Salaat is valid. There is no extra reward following him when he leads in your local Masjid.

When you intend coming back to S.A then it is better to stay Hanafi. Explain to your child slowly about the existence of different Mazhabs.

Assalaamu alaikum respected ulema, My question is in response to a translation youve made in a book on Taqleed in a section entitled "256 questions".Its in relation to page 52 questions 7)what is the reason for Imams Muslim,Abu Dawud,Ibn Majah not citing in their kitabs even a single hadith from Bukhari(rahmatullahi alaih)?And qustion 10) Why is it that Imam Bukhari has a mixture of narrations of bidatees such as mutazilas,qadriyas,jahmiyas etc. In regards to question 7,there are plenty of hadith labelled mutaffakun alay,so whydoes the question say this,im very confused by it.And question 10)really?how so? Other than these im loving the kitab as im surrounded by selafis here and its working wonders alhamdulillah. Thanks
Even hadith compiler had his own criteria for accepting a hadith, thus variant compilations.
Remember we are posing the questions for those Ghair Muqallids to answer not questioning the ability of the Muhaditheen.

Assalaamualaikum warahmatulahio wabarakathu Muftie Saheb Please can you elaborate on when should the Talbiyah be read in SA after every Salaah "Allahu Akbar AllahuAkbar Lailaha illalahu wal hu Abkbar Allahukbar walilahil Hamnd" I was tauhght from the 8th of Dhul Hijjah until the 13th of Dhul Hijah equal to 23 Salaah's ? Is this correct as here in Cape Town they only commence on the days of Eif 10,11th, 12th ONLY? Please can you supply information as the Shiekh here is not in agreement that it can be read from the 8th onwards as we do up in Jopburg? Not sure maybe its a Shaifi'e ruling I donot know. Can you supply Hadith to this effect by my sanity's sake please. I endevour to do the talbiyah on my own and encourage my family too to do so as well even if the Masjid is not reciting the talbiyah. Is there a difference of opinion ornot between the madhabs? I am only questioning to enquire for myslef and not cause any fitnah with the community. Please ahelp me in this regard. I know that you are muqalid as I am too, I wouldnt coment on their place on ahlus sunnah wal jamaat because then what will we do & who do we follow at the haraam. asuming that we should follow followers of our sect. the jumua is for all that is why dont see the reason why at a gathering open to all madhabs you should mention that something that another madhab does is abrogated. this causes confusion amongs the followers of other madhabs who do not have alot of knowledge. for example & I dont know if you would agree with this: the relied opinion in the shafi madhab pertaining to beard is that it is makro to cut (not haraam), today there are shafi's calling other shafi's fasiq for this. tomorrow a shafi would tell the other not to rais the hands or read fatihah after the imaam because one mufti said that it is abrogated. my sheikh at a shafi institute while teaching shafi' fiqh for the baab of wudhu would tell us that only three hairs are wajib to wash, he will then tell us the best method & the sunnah method in according to the strongest opinion in our madhab. he then points out that the whole head is wajib according to the madhab of Imaam Abu Hanifa RA & according to imaam Malick RA there is a slight difference in method & demonstrate. never would he ever say that our opinion is stronger or that yours is abrogated.
Kindly read our research on the Beard, you are grossly misinformed about the Shaafi ruling.
Once again we state, we are not against those who follow any one of the 4 Imaams of Fiqh.
Our difficulty lies with the Ghair Muqalids. Do not confuse the matter.

Asalamualykum Dear respected mufti saheb. The shafi mathab needs to be respected with regards to the issue of reciting the 'basmala' or not at the time of slaughtering. I do beleive that it is not correct for Mufti's who are trained in the hanafi mathab to pronounce fatawa based on the Shafi school just as mufti Elias has done. Just as the hanafi mathab has it's usools so do the shafi'ees. It is not correct for the hanafi mufti to pick up 'Umm' and then declare the verdict of our imam on any issue based on the research of only one of our kitaabs. Moreover, we have translated Shaafi Fiqh for the upliftment and promotion of Shaafi Fiqh although being Hanafis - see Fathul Bari Part 1 and 2. Furthermore the Shaafi text pertaining to the Bismillaah is not as easy as you think.

Assalamu alaykum I'm a murid of a Turkish Naqshbandi shaykh and in my daily dhikr I've been instructed to do "Rabita-i Sherif". It consists of imagining one's shaykh (his face) in one's mind and focusing on this for around five minutes. 1) Is this practice of "Rabita-i sherif" an authentic practice? 2) Is it permissible to practice this "Rabita-i sherif"?

what is the difference between a mufti, molvi, maulana, alim? what is the meaning of "hadrat"? how do people earn that title?
When a Muslim completes the Dars-e-Nizaami he is given a title of Moulana. If he specialising in Fiqh he is given the title of Mufti.
Alim = of one knowledge.
Molvi = My guide
Moulana= Our guide
Hadhrat = title of honour, respect.
Given or stated (earned) out of respect.

As Salamu alaykum respected Mufti. I adhere to the Hanafi madhhab and the Aqeedah of Ahlu-Sunnah alhamdulillah. Questions: 1) Can plain acts nullify the iman of person although the belief of the person in itself would be sound? 2) Could you name a few acts who nullify the iman although the beliefs in itself were sound? 3) Does not praying but believing praying to be fard nullify one's iman? 4) Does not ruling by sharee'ah but believing that ruling by sharee'ah is fard nullify one's iman? Please forgive my somewhat confused questions. Jazak Allah khayr for your answer.
