Asalamualykum mufti. I read the questions and replies on shellfish being permissible on this website but how can i get authenticity that it is permissible. Is there any hadis on it or has it been allowed through Ijma or Qiyas? JazakALLAH.

is it permisable to sell products that are not halaal because (sweets and choclates) they have geletine in them? or should each product be scrutanised for halaal geletine only?
Bovine gelatine is Halaal. It is not permissible to sell Haraam.

Kindly contact the Muftis of Darul Uloom Azaadville, they are doing research on this matter. However if the animal becomes irreversibly mad by stunning then the slaughtering of mad animals will result in Haraam meat.

As-salaamu alaykum, as i inform u i work on ship which go all around the world,and we got diffrent kind of people onboard,as i am very particular about food,as we taking the food as we reach any port,i ask my capt to order for a Halal meat chicken,we recvd it in u.s with the bow written its Halal,we got goat meat packed in australia,same written on it Halal,is it ok for to consume it? can we eat prawn as i am hanafi ,plz reply? Rather it fish and it is permissible to eat prawns. Aviod the meat you are referring to.

Long ago we stated that most Halaal authorizing bodies are mere commercial activities. Ask from the outlet yourself. If the outlet is getting the product from a small holding then eat.
