Salaam Mufti. What are your views on female sterilization? Alhamdullilah, we just had our 3rd child, but I have difficult pregnancies as a result, deliver prematurely at 6 and 7 months and the baby requires weeks to months of medical attention in ICU. Although the doctor feels I can have another child, it is a health risk for myself and another baby, and advises I should proceed with a sterilization. Please give me your advice on this. Allah is the best of planners. Jazaakallah.
If a pious Muslim doctor states that another pregnancy will be harmful for you or the baby then you can use temporary birth control method.

slms mufti why arent you in total favor of a girls daarul uloom
1) This was NOT done in the best of times.
2) This was not done by the 'ashraf' - original pious predecessors./
3) This was not done by the original elders of our 'Maslack'
4) It defeats the aim of role and responsibility of the women./
5) This is not maintaining the principle of 'remain in your homes'. Laws of Hijaab, before, during, after are comprised. 6) Ulema after 7 years of study disappear, what is happening to those who come out of the institutes.
7) It is not directly proven that seeking of Ilm is obligatory upon them.
8) The divorce rate amongst Alimas is much more than non-Alimas.
9) Deen is easy there is no Jihaad, Jamaat, and Jumuah for women, easier for women.
10) We require obedient, pious and women who have basic fundamental education for woman to shoulder the responsibility as home ministers and home educators to nature the upbringing of children in an Islaamic manner.

Dear Respected Mufti, I had a discussion with some young girls recently regarding the wearing of nail polish during their menses, it seems it is becoming quite popular. I explained that wearing nail polish would make your wudhu not valid as water would not reach the nails. And wearing it during their Haid cycle, is a big risk because should they die, then the ghusl that will be performed will be nulified as we cannot remove the nail polish when they perform the Janaaza ghusl. And so I said they shoudl stay away from it completely. I drew this conclusion using my own logic, but they asked me if there was anything in Quran or Hadith to support this. Please can you assist me. Jazakallah
Your logic is good. Stay on it.

Assalamu alaikum can you please help with the following scenario: A woman is due for her period but is late. then she sees a slight brown discharge, takes it for her peiod, and stops reading salaah. This very little brown discharge (not enough to call it a flow) continues. She skips all her salaah for the next ten days at which point she knoiws she has to continue reading even though it hasnt stopped. The slight brown discharge doesnt stop for the next 5 days, and then on the 5th day she starts bleeding. at this point this seems like her real period, since she feels the period symptoms. But now, she already took the previous 10 days as her period and is now confused on what to do... in this case, what should she do? and if you say that she should just make wudhu and continue reading her salaah, then does that mean she can continue having marital relations (becasue what if it is her real period and this is then harmful to her) jazakallah for your assistance.
When she experiences 'real' discharge with symptoms that is the periods and the rest before and after 10 days to be regarded as 'Istihaaza'

Assalamu Alaykoum, During ramadan a woman has been bleeding on and off for 1 week, mostly staying clean during the day and bleeding slightly/or having brown discharge at night. Does this week count as haiz? Since she is uncertain of whether she will bleed again, must she have ghusl each time she think she's clean and fast and perform salaat and read Quran? Or should she wait for 10 days before fasting and touching Quran etc?
She should follow her normal Habit.

Assalamu Alaykoum, Jazak Allah for your prompt answer to question #6890.. After delivery the lady bled from 5th june to 28th june, then again on 9th July to 15th July and 18 July to 21st July. 1. On 28th june, she had ghusl, performed salaat and tilawat Quran till 9th July.. What is the ruling for the ibadah done during this period since she wasn't aware she was still in Nifaas? And she cannot remember exactly which part of the Quran was read during that time. 2. Since Nifaas lasted 40 days and she continued to bleed even after that, does she has to take into consideration the number of previous nifaas (38 days) and make Qadha for salaat? For how many days of salaat does this apply? May Allah reward you!
1) Make Taubah and Istikhfaar. Start Quraan again
2) 40 Days.

Since I became baaligh till I felt pregnant for my third baby, my haiz would last for a period of 6 days. After the birth of my third baby, nifaas and a period of 7 months ,my haiz started to become unstable. It would at times last for 7 days , 9 days over 10 days, etc. Each month different. After 3 years , I decided to see a doctor who diagnosed an outgrowth on one of my ovaries explaining this irregularity. Got the necessary medications and alhumdulillah It was removed. My haiz is slowly stabilising. I would like to know the number of days to be considered as haiz each month?
Since it is stabilising then within few months you will know the regular figure, for now use the 7 days as your regular.

As-Salaamualikum Mufti, On the second day of fasting I got my Haiz after two months, this continued for 10 days and then it stopped I made my ghusul, on the 11th and 12 th day I was clean and continued with my roza and salaah. This morning I noticed some brown discharge, the rest of the day I was clean, I continued fasting but did not make my salaah as I am confused. a) Is this part of Haiz? or does it fall as nifaas. b) Do I keep gadhaa of this roza and can I continue with fasting if this happens. c) Am I allowed to make my salaah in this state as well. Please advice. Jazakallah.
- More than 10 days was 'Istihaaza'
- No Qadha - continue
