Slms.my wife has embrased islam almost 2years now and my son is turning 1 year old.I have not done my sons aakika when he was born and neither did I do any aakika for my wife. What's the ruling for this issure on whether I stil need to perform their aakika. Jazakalah.may allah bless you in the work you doing.

Although it is not compulsory to do the Akika, you may however do so. 2 Goats/sheep for the son and one goat/sheep for the wife.

My wife and I recently had a baby girl. We have done aqeeqah for her but due to personal circumstances we cannot shave her head.
Plz advise us the islamic ruling for this. Is it compulsory to shave the head? Will there be any sin if we do not do so etc.

Is it permissible for woman to slaughter a qurbani sheep or goat, I have heard many myths that woman are not allowed to slaughter and if they do the men folk will not be allowed to consume the meat also does the woman need to be in complete purdah if she is slaughtering.

All, anyone can eat of the slaughter.
If there are Ghair Mahraams around them Hijaab is necessary otherwise not.

Some people mention the names of famous Ulama of SA who have mentioned that it is permissible. As I was taught that Qurbani animals do require a tail. I am confused . Please comment. Wassalaam.

It is not necessary to give Qurbaani meat ONLY to the poor. You can give it to yourself, family members, kith and kin and friends - all being wealthy.

A couple of questions please reply if possible with some hadith references as we have discussions at our meetings. 1) When Ibrahim alahii salaam made qurbaani of the dumba who was that meat distributed to.
2) Can we give the non muslims Qurbaani meat as there are a lot of houses in our society who keep asking.
3) There were a lot of goats tied together in our socirty for quarbani one of them was injured in a fight with another goat and the horn was completely broken due to this, can qurbaani still be performed on this animal.

Aslkm, Mufti saab i m from bombay(india), we have a flat in nasik that is appxmt 185 kms from bombay, there are lots of poor muslims family there who dont get to eat goat meat for as long as 6 months together, we intend to celebrate eid there & distribute meat among the poor there, our cousins also intend to celebrate wid us in nasik & return to bombay the next day after eid, pls let me know if the qurbani done away from our residing place that is bombay is valid or not, as i have heard that we get half sawaab if we do qurbani away from home. Better do locally.

If Qurbani is Wajib (compulsory) on you then you have to do it and if on her then she has to do it, if on both then both have to do, if Nafl (optional) Qurbaani then any of the two can do it.

Respected Mufti Saheb, I would like to know from you whether it is permissible to a person to perform Qurbaani with his left hand.
If it is not permissible in general, will it be permissible (slaughtering with the left hand) in the case of the person being either a) left-handed, or b) he has some fault in his right hand preventing him from slaughtering with it?
