(1) Islaamic History The invitation to Islaam from Mount Safa
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) invited people in secrecy for the first three years. When Allaah then granted permission to invite the people publicly, Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) climbed up Mount Safa and called for all the leaders of the Quraysh. When they had all gathered, Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “O people! Will you believe me if I were to tell you that an army was approaching from behind Mount Safa to attack you?” “Why not?” they all said, “You are The Truthful and Trustworthy.” Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) then continued, “O people! Believe in One Allaah and forsake worshipping your idols because I am warning you of a terrible punishment and have come to warn you of something that is right before your eyes!” As soon as they heard this, the people were infuriated and hurled verbal abuse at Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam). Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)’s uncle Abu Lahab spoke most harshly to Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) on that occasion, in reply to which Allaah revealed Surah Lahab.
(2) Allaah’s Power Radium
Amongst the many valuable elements Allaah has created in this world, radium is one extremely precious element that is many times more expensive than gold. Who is it that has placed light in this without any electricity or fuel? This is indeed another wonder of Allaah’s power!
(3) A Fardh Upon whom is the Hajj Fardh (obligatory)
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Hajj (pilgrimage to show love for Allaah) to the House (the Kabah) is a duty that people who are able to find a way there owe to Allaah (therefore, Muslims who can afford to go to Makkah to perform Hajj have to do so)”.

[Surah Aal Imraan, verse 97]

(4) A Sunnah The Sunnah method of taking Ghusl
When Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) took a Ghusl, he first washed his hands. He then poured water with the right hand on to the left and washed the places of Istinja. Thereafter, he performed the Wudhu of Salaah and then used his fingers to ensure that water reached the roots of his hairs. He then took water in both hands three times and, one after the other; he poured water over his head and his entire body.

[Muslim 718, from Hadhrat Aa’isha (RA)

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Treating people with kindness
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) once asked the Sahabah (RA), “Should I not tell you about the one for whom Jahannam is forbidden? It is forbidden for every such person who treats people with kindness and sympathy.”

[Tirmidhi 2488, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Mas’ood (RA)]

(6) A Sin The punishment for the one who consumes interest
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said that when he was taken on the Mi’raaj journey, he saw people with bellies the size of houses. From the outside, serpents and scorpions could be seen inside their bellies. When Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked Hadhrat Jibra’eel (AS) who these people were, he was told that they were those who consumed interest.

[Ibn Maajah 2273, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]

(7) This World The consequences of hankering after his world
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “The person who hankers after this world has no affiliation with Allaah and the one who willingly allows himself to be humiliated (for worldly motives) has no affiliation to us.”

[Tabraani in his Kabeer 478, from Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA)]

(8) The Aakhirah The roar of Jahannam
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “When it (Jahannam) will see them (the Kuffaar) from a distance (on the Day of Qiyaamah), (it will be so intense that) they will hear the roar of its fury and its crackling (flames). When they are flung into a narrow place (in Jahannam) with their hands and feet in shackles, they will cry out for destruction (they will plead for death to come to them).

[Surah Furqaan, verses 12-13]

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) The cure for unconsciousness
Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Mas’ood (RA) once whispered something into the ear of an unconscious person, which caused him to regain consciousness. When asked what it was he recited, he replied that it was the verses:

“(While living in the world,) Did you think that We had created you in vain (without a specific purpose) and that you would not return to Us (to answer for what you did in the world)?

Exalted is Allaah, the Sovereign, the Truth (The True Illaah). There is no Illaah but He. He is the Rabb of the Glorious Throne.

He who calls on (worships) another Illaah with Allaah has no proof for it (nothing can justify such a practise). His reckoning is with Allaah (Allaah will judge his behaviour). The fact of the matter is that (after Allaah’s Judgement) the Kaafiroon will not succeed (they will suffer eternally in Jahannam).

Say, “O my Rabb! Forgive (our sins) and show mercy (towards us). Undoubtedly, You are the Best of those who show mercy.

[Surah Mu’minoon, verses 115-118]

He then added, “If these verses were recited with conviction and blown on a mountain, it would certainly move from its place.”                                                                         [Ibn Sunni 631]

(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “O you who have Imaan! If any sinner (or anyone else) brings you any news, then verify it (investigate it to establish the truth), lest you should harm any nation unknowingly (because of being misinformed) and then become remorseful over your actions. (In this manner, false news will be nipped in the bud)”.                         [Surah Hujuraat, verse 6]
