(1) Islaamic History The Da’wah of Hadhrat Isa (RA)
When the Bani Israa’eel reached a level where they had almost completely discarded their religion and had succumbed to practising acts of Shirk, Allaah sent Hadhrat Isa (RA) to guide them. They had reached such low ebb that evil character traits such as being temperamental and harbouring jealousy had become common and they had started to alter the injunctions and words of the Torah to suit themselves. It was because of this retrogression that they eventually even martyred Hadhrat Zakariyya (AS). Hadhrat Isa (AS) preached the Oneness of Allaah and the following of the laws of the Injeel, which substantiated those of the Torah. In addition to this, he also made it clear to them that a Nabi named in the previous scriptures as Ahmad would come after him and that they ought to believe in the Qur’aan that will be revealed to Ahmad as well as the fact that Ahmad shall be the final Nabi.
(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle News of Najaashi’s death
Rasulullaah (SAW) informed the Sahabah (RA) of the death of the Abyssinian king Najaashi the very day that he passed away, even though Abyssinia is hundreds of miles away from Madinah. Rasulullaah (SAW) instructed the Sahabah (RA) to make Du’aa for Najaashi, who had become a Muslim.

[Muslim 2205, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]

(3) A Fardh The wife’s share from her husband’s estate
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “They (your wives) shall inherit a quarter of what you (husbands) leave if you have no children. (However) If you have children, then they shall inherit an eighth of what you leave after the bequests you make and (after settling your) debts”.

[Surah Nisaa, verse 12]

(4) A Sunnah The Du’aa to be steadfast on good
Rasulullaah (SAW) often recited the following Du’aa:

اَللّٰهُمَّ مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوْبِ صَرِّفْ قُلُوْبَنَا عَلىٰ طَاعَتِكَ

TRANSLATION: O Allaah, the turner of hearts! Do turn our hearts towards Your obedience.

[Muslim 6750]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Preparing meals for the bereaved family
Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Ja’far (RA) reports that when his father Hadhrat Ja’far (RA) was martyred, Rasulullaah (SAW) instructed the other Sahabah (RA) to prepare food for the family of Hadhrat Ja’far (RA), saying, “They have been affected with a calamity which prevents them from showing concern for food.”

[Abu Dawood 3132]

(6) A Sin Miserliness
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Those who are miserly, who instruct others to be miserly and who conceal what (knowledge about the truthfulness of Rasulullaah (SAW) and wealth) Allaah had given them through His bounty (such people shall suffer terribly). We have prepared for the Kaafiroon a disgracing punishment”.

[Surah Nisaa, verse 37]

(7) This World The things of this world will remain behind
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “This is all merely the (temporary) articles of this worldly life (which they will surely leave behind them if it does not leave them first). (However,) The (everlasting and much more precious) Aakhirah with your Rabb is (exclusively reserved) for those with Taqwa”.

[Surah Zukhruf, verse 35]

(8) The Aakhirah The people of Jannah will see Allaah
Looking at the 14th full moon, Rasulullaah (SAW) once commented, “You will be able to see your Rabb (in Jannah) just as you are looking at this moon.”

[Bukhaari 554, from Hadhrat Jareer (RA)]

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) The benefits of Blackcurrants
Hadhrat Abu Hind Daari (RA) reports that some blackcurrants were once presented as a gift to Rasulullaah (SAW). When Rasulullaah (SAW) opened the package and saw them, he remarked, “Recite Bismillaah and eat these. Blackcurrants are an excellent food, which strengthen the nerves, alleviates old pains, cools the temper, removes bad breath and phlegm and also improves the complexion.”

[Tareekh Dimishq by Ibn Asaakir]

(10) Advice from

Rasulullaah (SAW)

Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Allaah says, ‘O My servants! As long as you continue worshipping Me and have hope in My mercy, I shall continue to forgive you. If you meet me with the world full of sin without ever having ascribed any partners to Me, I shall meet you with the world full of forgiveness.’”

[Ahmad 20861, from Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA)]
