(1) Islaamic History Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) married Hadhrat Khadeeja (RA)
Hadhrat Khadeeja (RA) was a respectable and wealthy widow of Makkah who was twice married before. Although many of the most respectable men of Makkah had proposed for her hand in marriage, she proposed to marry Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) when she noticed his trustworthiness and exemplary character. When Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) mentioned this to his uncle Abu Taalib, he was overjoyed and, together with some seniors of the Banu Haashim and Mudhar tribes, they proceeded to the house of Hadhrat Khadeeja (RA), where the arrangement was formalised. Hadhrat Khadeeja (RA) was 40 at the time and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) was 25. She remained loyal and devoted to Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) all her life and even after her death Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) always remembered her fondly. Apart from Hadhrat Ibraheem (RA), all the children of Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) were born from Hadhrat Khadeeja (RA).


(2) Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)’s Miracle The fragrance of his blessed body
Hadhrat Waa’il bin Hujr (RA) reports that his hands remained fragrant for three days after once shaking hands with Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).

(3) A Fardh Performing Salaah in Jamaa’ah
Someone once asked Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA) about a person who fasts all day and performs Salaah all night, but does not attend the Jumu’ah Salaah and does not perform Salaah in Jamaa’ah. Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA) said, “He is destined for Jahannam.”

(4) A Sunnah Du’aa for safety from earthquakes
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to recite the following Du’aa:


اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِعَظْمَتِكَ أَنْ اُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِيْ

TRANSLATION: O Allaah! I seek Your protection from being snatched from beneath me.

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Greeting each other
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said that when two Muslims greet each other and smile with each other solely for the pleasure of Allaah, then Allaah will forgive all their sins even before their hands separate.

(6) A Sin Causing hurt to Allaah and His Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Verily those (the Kuffaar) who hurt Allaah and His Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) (by ascribing partners to Allaah and rejecting the message and

Prophethood of Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)), Allaah curses them in this world and in the Aakhirah, and He has prepared a humiliating punishment for them”.

[Surah Ahzaab, verse 57]

(7) This World Love for wealth and children
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Rivalry in amassing wealth has made you negligent (heedless of fulfilling Allaah’s commands) (and this rivalry will continue making you negligent) until you reach the graves (when you die). Never! (This rivalry will not benefit you!) Soon you will come to know (the errors of your ways)! Never! (This rivalry will certainly not benefit you, but) You will soon come to know”.

[Surah Takathur, verses 1-4]

(8) The Aakhirah The weeping of the people of Jahannam
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Allaah will punish the people of Jahannam with weeping in such a way that they will weep so profusely that their tears will run dry and they will start to cry tears of blood. They will then develop such deep furrows on their cheeks that if boats were placed therein, they will start to flow.”

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) Treating feebleness of mind with marrow
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Keep eating marrows because it sharpens the intellect and strengthens the mind.”

(10) Advice

Advising someone, Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Reduce your sins and death will be easier for you. Reduce your debts and live a life of freedom.”
