(1) Islaamic History Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) leaves the cave of Thowr
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the cave of Thowr and then left for Madinah when things had quietened down in Makkah. Abdullaah bin Urayqit was an expert guide and Hadhrat Abu Bakr (RA) had arranged to hire two camels from him for the journey. He therefore arrived with the camels when they were ready to leave and he set off with them to Madinah together with Hadhrat Aamir bin Fuhayrah (RA), a servant of Hadhrat Abu Bakr (RA). They avoided the main road to Madinah and used a road along the coast. It was on this road that they passed by an old lady Ummu Ma’bad and milked her goat for them all to drink, even though the goat was usually unable to give any milk. Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) also milked some for her before leaving. Because the Mushrikeen had offered a reward of a hundred camels for anyone who captured Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), Suraaqa bin Maalik was amongst the many who set off on horseback to track the party down. However, when he drew close to them, he sank into the ground with his horse because of the Du’aa that Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) made. Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), however, made Du’aa for him to stop sinking when he promised to leave them alone and to dissuade anyone else from following their tracks.
(2) Allaah’s Power Breathing
When we take a breath, the air that enters our body is filled with dust and microscopic particles that are potentially harmful. However, Allaah has lined the passage from the nose to the lungs with mucus to which all these harmful particles attach themselves. They are thus prevented from entering the lungs. How great a Creator is Allaah!
(3) A Fardh The promise of forgiveness for performing Salaah properly
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “Allaah has made the five daily Salaahs Fardh. When a person performs Wudhu properly, performs the Salaah in its correct time, and performs the Ruku and Sajdah, as it ought to be performed, Allaah promises to forgive him. As for the one who does not do this, there is no promise for him. Allaah may forgive him if He pleases or punish him.”

[Abu Dawood 425, from Hadhrat Ubaadah bin Saamit (RA)]

(4) A Sunnah Visiting the sick
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) visited the ill, attended funerals and also accepted invitations from slaves.

[Haakim 3734, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Walking to the Masjid for Salaah
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said that the person who will be most rewarded for his Salaah will be the one who walks the most (to the Masjid) for the Salaah.

[Bukhaari 651, from Hadhrat Abu Moosa Ash’ari (RA)]

(6) A Sin Speaking of worldly matters in the Masjid
Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) once said, “There will come a time when people will discuss worldly matters in the Masjid. Never sit with such people because Allaah has nothing to do with them.”

[Mustadrak 7916]

(7) This World What has been said to the world
Hadhrat Silt bin Hakeem رحمه الله says that we have been informed that the directive has been given to this world stating, “Serve those people who forsake you and make those people serve you who give preference to you.”

[Zuhd of Ibn Abi Dunya 145]

(8) The Aakhirah The Day of Qiyaamah
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “(Do not forget the Day of Qiyaamah) When the sun is folded (will lose its light), when the stars fall down (and cease to exist), when the mountains are made to fly about (like flakes of wool after being flung into the air by violent earthquakes), when pregnant camels are abandoned (left by their owners). (Although pregnant camels are highly prized and valuable, people will have no interest in them or in any other valuables when the fear of Qiyaamah overwhelms them.) When (even) wild animals are gathered (together on the Plains of Reckoning so that oppressed animals are given the opportunity to take revenge from the aggressors. They will then all be turned into dust). When the oceans are set alight. (The waters of the ocean will be heated and when the heat becomes intense, all the water will evaporate and fire will then take its place)”.

[Surah Takweer, verses 1-6]

(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) Treating pain with cupping
Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA) reports that that Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) had cupping done for himself in the state of Ihraam because of pain he had been suffering.

[Bukhaari 5701]

Toxic blood is removed from the body through cupping, which alleviates pain and strengthens the eyesight.

(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Obey (the commands of) Allaah and His Rasool and do not fall into dispute (quarrels) with each other, for then you will become cowardly (weak) and your strength will be lost. Exercise sabr, for verily Allaah is with those who exercise sabr”.

[Surah Anfaal, verse 46]
