|(1) Islaamic History||Glad tidings of the arrival of Rasulullaah (SAW)|
|Every one of the Ambiyaa i who came before Rasulullaah (SAW) gave his people the glad tidings of the arrival of Rasulullaah (SAW). They also described Rasulullaah (SAW) to their people and took a pledge from them that they would follow Rasulullaah (SAW) when he does arrive. It is therefore noted that even after so many thousands of years and innumerable alterations, the present day Torah and Injeel still contain references to Rasulullaah (SAW), which even the scholars of these books admit. Allaah says, “Those who have been given the Book (the Jews and the Christians) recognise him (Rasulullaah (SAW) together with his lineage, tribe, place of birth, place of residence, appearance, qualities and attributes) just as they recognise their very own sons (because the Torah and the Injeel had described him to them). Without doubt there (still) exists among them a group who knowingly hide the truth”.
[Surah Baqarah, verse 146]
Verse 6 of Surah Saff quotes the words of Hadhrat Isa (AS), who said to his people, “O children of Israa’eel! Indeed I am the Rasool of Allaah (who has been sent) to you, confirming the Torah before me and giving (you) the good news of a Rasool to come after me (among the Arabs), whose name will be Ahmad (referring to Rasulullaah (SAW))”.
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “I am the manifestation of the Du’aa of my father Ibraheem (AS) and I am also the glad tiding that Isa (AS) gave to his people.”
|(2) Rasulullaah (SAW)’s Miracle||Rasulullaah (SAW)’s prediction about Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA)|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) once said, “May Allaah have mercy on Abu Dharr. He lives by himself, will pass away by himself and will be resurrected by himself.” Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA) lived by himself in a place called Rabdha, where he passed away with none present at his death apart from his wife and slave.
|(3) A Fardh||Performing Salaah in Jamaa’ah|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “People must stop missing their Salaah in Jamaa’ah otherwise I will have to burn their homes down.”
[Ibn Maajah 795, from Hadhrat Usaama bin Zaid (RA)]
This Hadith sounds a very stern warning against people who do not perform their Salaah in Jamaa’ah. It is therefore necessary for all Muslim men to ensure that their Fardh Salaahs are performed in the Masjid.
|(4) A Du’aa from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW)||The Du’aa for forgiveness and mercy|
|The following Du’aa should be recited for forgiveness and mercy:
رَبَّنَآ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
TRANSLATION: O our Rabb! We have Imaan, so forgive us and have mercy on us. Indeed You are the Best of those who show mercy.
[Surah Mu’minoon, verse 109]
|(5) An Important Act and its Virtue||Making Du’aa for one’s parents|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said that if a person had been disobedient to his parents, he can still be recorded amongst the obedient ones after their deaths if he continues to make Du’aa for them and seek forgiveness for them.
[Shu’abul Imaan 7663, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]
|(6) A Sin||Ease after difficulty|
|Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “When We let people taste (Our) mercy after a difficulty has afflicted them, they suddenly have a plan (a plot) against Our Aayaat (they start to enjoy the bounties and reject and mock Our Aayaat). Say, ‘Allaah is swifter in planning (in taking you to task for what you do). Indeed Our Messenger angels record whatever you plan (nothing goes unnoticed)’”.
[Surah Yunus, verse 21]
|(7) This World||The success of the Aakhirah is better than this world|
|Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Whatever you have been given is merely an article of this worldly life (something to use temporarily). (On the other hand,) What (reward) is with Allaah (in exchange for your good deeds) is better (than everything of this world) and more lasting (eternal) for those who have Imaan”.
[Surah Shura, verse 36]
|(8) The Aakhirah||Drops from Jannah and Jahannam|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “If a single drop of Jannah had to fall on the earth, all of it would have become sweet and if a single drop of Jahannam had to fall on the earth, all of it would have become bitter.”
[Targheeb wat Tarheeb 186, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]
|(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW)||Treating haemorrhoids with figs|
|Rasulullaah (SAW) advised the use of figs to treat haemorrhoids and joint pains.
[Kanzul Ummaal 28276, from Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA)]
|(10) Advice from
|Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “If you have given someone a loan and he gives you a gift or offers you a ride, do not accept the gift or the ride unless you had been accepting these from him before the loan.”
[Ibn Maajah 2432, from Hadhrat Anas (RA)]
