(1) Islaamic History Hadhrat Ka’b Ahbaar (RA)
Hadhrat Ka’b Ahbaar (RA) was a famous Taabi’ee who had been a Jewish Rabbi before accepting Islaam. Although he was alive during the time of Rasulullaah (SAW), he accepted Islaam only during the Khilaafah of Hadhrat Umar (RA). When Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA) asked him what brought him to Islaam, he replied, “My father had written for me a letter from the Torah with instructions to follow its directives. He then sealed all his religious books and made me swear that I shall never break the seal. I therefore abided by his instructions until the time came when Islaam started to dominate. It then occurred to me that my father may have been trying to hide something from me. I then broke the seal and read the books. There I read about the description of Muhammad (SAW) and his Ummah. I was convinced that this was the truth and I became a Muslim.”
(2) Allaah’s Power The bounty of water
Water is a great blessing from Allaah, which is the foundation of all life on earth. Without water, mankind and animals as well as all plants and vegetation will perish. Allaah has therefore stored a large reserve of water in the oceans, from which clouds gather moisture and then rain down upon the dry lands. Plants then have water to allow them to flourish and people then have water to drink and water their fields.
(3) A Fardh Performing Tawaaf with Wudhu
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Performing Tawaaf around the Kabah is like performing Salaah.”

[Tirmidhi 960, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas (RA)]

Just as Salaah is invalid without Wudhu, so also will Tawaaf without Wudhu be invalid.

(4) A Sunnah The Masnoon Qiraa’ah during the Maghrib Salaah
Hadhrat Ummu Fadhl (RA) reports that Rasulullaah (SAW) used to recite Surah Mursalaat during the Maghrib Salaah.

[Abu Dawood 810]

(5) An Important Act and its Virtue Reciting the Kalimah Shahaadah after Wudhu
Rasulullaah (SAW) said that all eight doors of Jannah will be opened for the person who performs a proper Wudhu and then recites the following Kalimah:

أَشْهَدُأَنْ لَّآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ

[Muslim 553, from Hadhrat Umar (RA)]

(6) A Sin Allowing garments to reach below the ankles
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “When a person allows his lower garment to hang below the ankles out of pride (or fashion), Allaah will not even look at him with mercy on the Day of Qiyaamah.”

[Bukhaari 5788, from Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah (RA)]

(7) This World Earning Halaal sustenance
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Never think that your sustenance is far off because a person will never die until he has not received his allotted sustenance. You should therefore choose the best manner of earning your sustenance. Earn Halaal sustenance and forsake Haraam.”

[Mustadrak 2134, from Hadhrat Jaabir (RA)]

(8) The Aakhirah The bounties of the people of Jannah
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Those with Taqwa shall certainly have success (attain their objective and will have) Jannaat, grapes, youthful maidens of equal age (as their wives) and brimming glasses (of the most delicious drinks)”.                                                                 [Surah Naba, verses 31-34]
(9) Cures from the Qur’aan and Rasulullaah (SAW) Treatment through Sadaqah
Rasulullaah (SAW) said, “Treat your ill ones with Sadaqah because Sadaqah dispels illness and calamities.”

[Kanzul Ummaal 28178, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar (RA)]

(10) Qur’aanic Advice
Allaah says in the Qur’aan, “Turn to your Rabb and surrender to Him before punishment afflicts you, after which you will not be assisted”.

[Surah Zumar, verse 54]
